Winter Berries and New Hair!~

13 Dec

Ok, I was way overdue for a proper haircut and my angled bob had grown into an angled mess.  So I opted for a shoulder-grazing chin length bob with choppy razored layers.  It’s basically all one length (as I’m trying to grow it out) and has shorter layers on the sides and back. I also got subtle caramel colored highlights all over just to break up the dark color a bit!

Also, I’ve been really loving my palettes lately so I decided to do a plummy warm look using mainly my 28 and 26 color palettes. Enjoy!

Bridal Makeup: Classic Look

6 Dec

In honor of nearly all my girlfriends getting married in the very near future, I’ve decided to do a bridal makeup series! The first post in the bridal series is a very classic look appropriate for daytime weddings.  I’ll also be doing looks inspired by each season, as well as nighttime looks.

Classic bridal makeup is all about perfecting what you have without looking like you have a lot of makeup on.  It’s a “you, but better” kind of look.  Very fresh faced and pretty, and not over the top.  To me, this look would be great for brides who want a traditional ceremony and a classic look (think pearls and a church wedding).  This makeup would also be great for a destination wedding, because of its simplicity.
