Introducing… my sister Jillisa!!

I’m home (at my parents house) for a week before school starts and I’m attacking Jillisa as much as possible with makeup because she has the biggest and best eyes!  Here’s a dramatic blue and purple look using MAC pigments:

M.A.C Pigment Samples and New Palette!~

So I finally received my MAC pigment samples from MakeupGeek (Marlena) and they are gorgeous!! I haven’t tried them yet (besides swatching), so still I don’t know what all the hype is about, but they certainly are beautiful.  I also got my 12 pan palette from Ebay the very same day, so I pressed the loose pigments right away using rubbing alcohol.

To press pigments:

~Add rubbing alcohol to pigment, stir in until the consistency is creamy.

~Pour into an empty pan, gently tap the pan to flatten the pigment, and let dry (a few hours).

~When completely dry, take a quarter covered in fabric and press down on the pigment, hard.

~Add the pan to your favorite palette and you’re done!~

New Series and New Products!~

18 Aug

Yesterday, my boyfriend pointed something out to me.  I was showing him my latest post and he said, “you know if I were a girl, I wouldn’t know where to put the different shadows…”  And I realize that when I post makeup looks, they are of the finished product.  And that might make it difficult for people (especially beginners) to recreate some of the eye looks.  But I couldn’t think of a good way of explaining it, until now.

So I’m going to be doing a series based on eyeshadow placement, because unless you’re doing something really avant-garde there really are only a few basic ways to do it.  I’ll be using black, white, and grey shadows so that the contrast will really illustrate the placement.  Hopefully this will be helpful!~

Some looks that will be included in the Eyeshadow Placement Series:

~ Defined Crease

~ Outer V

~ Gradient from Inner Corner to Outer Corner

~ Gradient from Lash Line to Eyebrow

~ Blended “Halo” Effect

~ and More!~

Also, I’ve a few things coming in the mail: 120 Pro Palette, a Sleek Palette (original) from the UK, a Naked Desserts haul, and some MAC pigment samples!!~  Beyond excited!  Expect hauls and reviews soon!
