These palettes are amazing!!  I hadn’t tried NYX eyeshadows before getting these, but I had heard good things, so I thought why not try a bunch at once? I’m so glad I did! They’re so smooth and pigmented and come in a sleek little palette with ten shades. Love! Check out my thoughts on each palette below:

Strike a Pose

Strike a Pose is the most colorful palette (of the four I have).  I particularly love the berry shade in the top right corner and the shimmery neutral in the bottom left corner.

Jazz Night

The shimmery jewel-tone blue and the silver next to it are beautiful! I don’t have any comparable shades in my collection.  The highlight color is really pretty as well; that’s one thing I really love about these palettes, they all have at least one good highlight shade.

Smokey Eyes

Just as the name suggests, this palette is perfect for a smokey eye.  The colors are a lot richer than shown in this swatch; the two blacks are really inky.

Champagne & Cavier

I love Champagne & Cavier for everyday wear.  There are so many gorgeous shades in one palette with a combination of matte and shimmer shades (another thing I love about these palettes).  This swatch is not doing this palette justice, trust me the colors are beautiful.

I received two more NYX eyeshadow palettes from one of my favorite Ebay sellers, bubbles_n_mocci (check her out for all your NYX product needs! Haha). These shadows are amazing and I’m going to do an in depth review with swatches of the four NYX palettes I own very soon!

I am soooo excited!! My Sigma brushes are here!! They are amazing, amazing quality for the price ($69 USD – without a brush roll, $89 – with). But more on them soon, I’ll be putting together a full in-depth review on them during the next few days, and I’ll hopefully have it up early next week.

Here’s what I’ve picked up over the last few weeks:

Top: Sigma face brushes-  SS187 stippling, SS150 powder, SS194 concealer, SS190 foundation, SS168 contour/blush.

Top: Sigma eye brushes- SS209 liner/lip, SS275 angled shader, SS252 flat shader, SS266 angled liner, SS219 pencil, SS239 shading, SS224 blending.

Top: This is so cute!! A free mini SS217 was included in my package! It’s actually one of my favorites, so I emailed the company and asked when they will be offering a full sized SS217 and they said they’ll have one out in two months!!

Top: Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Nail Color in gunmetal, Wet n’ Wild Mega Glo Illuminating Powder in spotlight peach.

Top: NYX For Your Eyes Only 10 Color Palette in smokey eyes, NYX Runway Collection 10 Color Palette in champagne & caviar.

These little things are awesome!~  If you’re just starting to get into makeup and want to try loose pigments, or if you are looking for more colors to add to your collection, you should definitely check out these NYX pigments.  While the little containers are super tiny, they hold a surprisingly large amount of product!  I managed to completely fill 10g jars with each color (I have 24 of them) and still have some left over.  As the name suggeests, they are very pearly, so for those of you who like shimmery eyeshadow, these are perfect.  They go on very smoothly, can be applied dry or wet, the color is very buildable, and the pigmentation is great.  There’s also lots of colors to choose from, 30 in all.  But by far the best thing about this product is the price, at www.cherryculture.com you can get these little gems for $1.50 USD.  Crazy right?  Check them out today!~

Second in my must-have series is cream eyeshadow. This is something I think maybe people don’t utilize enough. Cream eyeshadow can of course be used on it’s own, but it’s best used under powder shadows to bring about dimension and intensify color. A cream base in the same color as your shadow can really bring out the vibrancy of the shade. Also, try using a black or white base to deepen or brighten your shadow. Cream eyeshadow can also help powder shadow adhere to your eyelid and provide long-lasting wear.

To really illustrate my point, here are a few photos of a green eyeshadow look. The depth of the shadow was created by using two cream eyeshadows under powder shadow, a white color on the inner half of the lid, and a dark color on the outer half:
